This includes agency reviews, audit functions, field visits and the production of business. In conjunction with Marketing, continually assesses the capability and strength of our agency plant to achieve the financial objectives of the company.Provide timely, courteous, and efficient service regarding underwriting and related matters to Producers and Policyholders.
Works closely with our Territory Marketing Managers to ensure consistent messaging to our agencies. Recommend processing and workflow improvements as appropriate. Effectively manage the priority of work and processing within the underwriting territory to provide excellent service to our agents, and meet company financial objectives. Demonstrates skill in risk analysis, negotiation, and proposing terms and pricing to procure a profitable book of commercial lines business. Evaluates new business opportunities and renewals and makes profitable, individual risk judgments based on thorough understanding of Arbella’s underwriting philosophies and guidelines. The position is responsible for accepting or rejecting new business and continually developing renewal business in accordance with the company's underwriting practices. The primary function is the production of an underwriting profit through the effective development and maintenance of quality business consistent with the overall business plan objectives, under general direction and within specific authority grant.
